Tabea Mathern is a Photographer, Art Director and Visual Artist, creating tactile imagery for brands, publications and cultural projects.

 

Working across photography and motion, she crafts worlds that blur the line between the everyday and the imagined, balancing playfulness with refinement.

She has worked with brands like Adobe, Klarna, Clinique and eBay and her work has been featured in publications such as Der Spiegel, Cosmopolitan and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Her strong creative direction guides ideas from initial sketch to final image. Collaborating closely with brands, agencies and creative teams, she develops concepts with a keen sensitivity to culture, atmosphere and visual storytelling.

Her hand-built sets combine tactile materials, sculptural details and subtle humour to create immersive, deeply human imagery, that make you want to look closer and immerse yourself into her world.

She regularly shares her knowledge through workshops and teaching, including an extensive online course with Domestika, a leading creative platform, as well as past workshops and tutorials in collaboration with Adobe, Soho House and Design Hotels.
